Gates and fence (in this case only) are made exactly the same. Advantages: Five Rail Cambridge
fence panels ship assembled, ready to hang to your fence post of choice using screws or
nails (sold separately). Fence panels may be mounted in-between posts, or to the face of
posts. End uprights of panels are 3" x 3-1/2". Preassembled sections mean no
wasted lumber, less labor, and perfectly uniform and consistent horizontal rails and cross
bracing 'crossbuck style' fencing. Superior mortise and tenon construction far exceeds
most, if not all 4-5 rail fence available. Heavy duty top rail allows for an assortment of
fence section widths, up to 12' wide! Cross bracing secured with stainless steel fasteners
decreases the liklihood of rusting nails and screws. Planed smooth lumber and decorative
corners accent each section, setting it a world apart from rough cut 4 and 5 rail horse
fencing. View additional fence photos here.
Disadvantages: All
wood warps, cracks, and fades. Although fence panels are made from a dense spruce lumber,
stain or preservative is recommended, as with any wood fence, to preserve product. You may
stain, or paint these any color you like. Please consult a paint and stain dealer for
recommendations regarding fence and lumber preservatives. Five Rail Cambridge Fence, due
